Forthcoming B&HMC Social Events
Pizza Night

We will be having a Pizza night at the clubhouse on Wednesday 31st May.

Freshly made stone baked pizzas will be prepared in front of the clubhouse on Madeira Drive.

When you buy a pizza your first drink will be free.

Come along for a great even and bring friends who may be interested in joining the club or one of our events.

Summer BBQ

We will be having a summer BBQ on Saturday 24th June.

It will be held at Hooks Acre, Lewes Road, Westmeston BN6

The BBQ will start at 13:00 and we will have a live band playing at 15:00.

There will be a great selection of burgers, hot dogs, quiches, salads, coleslaw, potato salad etc. followed by a desert.

We can cater for most allergies including vegetarian and Gluten free.

We always hope for good weather but will have some large gazebos just in case of a shower.

£20 for adults and £7 for kids so make it a family day out.

Payment in advance would be preferable so that we know the numbers for the day. Payment to:

Quiz night at the Clubhouse

We will be holding a quiz night at the clubhouse on Wednesday 19th July.

The questions will be general knowledge plus a few car related ones.

Teams of four so choose your team mates well.

The winning team will each get a bottle of either red or white wine.

Come along for a fun evening with your friends



Annual Dinner Dance

This years Dinner Dance will be held at the Hotel Metropole on the Brighton seafront on Saturday 2nd September.

Great food and a disco afterwards so come along and have fun with your fellow members and guests.

Other Events

The Concours and Classic Car Show

Our annual Concours and Classic Car Show will be held in the grounds of Hove Park.

The park is a great location as it has a nice cafe and a childrens playground so for great for the family.

To enter your car into the show just go to www.bhmc.club and click on the car show block on the home page. This will take you to the entry form where you can choose which class you will be in and you can pay by Paypal.

The entry fee is only £5 and this is to cover the cost of the awards and rally plaques.



Frosts Brighton Speed Trials

This years Frosts Brighton Speed Trials will be held on Saturday 2nd September and Entries and Advance Tickets sales will open on Monday 15th May.

We are hoping for in excess of 160 cars this year as we have plenty of room on Madeira Drive. The event will run under an Motorsport Interclub permit so that is the licence you need to enter

There will be 13 classes so I am sure your car will fit into one of these.

Practice starts at 08:45 and the event will end with a run off of the ten fastest cars. Last year in the top ten run off the course record was nearly broken with the fastest car recording a 8.99 second run only 0.09 seconds off the record.

Friday will be a hectic day setting up the course so if you are vailable on that day then email lencob427@live.co.uk to volunteer.

We will as always have our raised staging area running 70 metres from the start line plus a 21 SqM LCD screen which will allow you to see the whole run.

You can follow the times of the car as we will have live timing at the event.

Again this year the event is Carbon Neutral as we have purchased Carbon Offsetting for all the cars on the run.

We will; have a display of Hot Rods and these are amazing arts of work.

Tell all you friends who want to enter and if they can't then get them down to spectate. Entrance to the paddock is £15 on the day but if they go to www.bhmc.club they can buy advance tickets at a 20% reduction. Accompanied children under 14 come in for free.

The Eagle Sprint at Goodwood

Entries for the Eagle Sprint will open on the 5th June so keep an eye out on the website as this event fills up very fast.

We will have 10 classes plus some dedicated club classes.

The maximum entries is 115 but if the entries close then put your self forward as a reserve as leading up to the event some people drop out due to car problems etc.

Each driver gets one practice/famiiaration run and three timed runs. The event starts at 09:00 and will finish before 17:00. 30 minutes after the last run is when we will present the awards.

If you are not entering then come along and spectate. There is no charge and you can wander around the paddock looking at the cars and talk to the drivers, so a great day.
