Full English 2023 - UPDATED 16.06.23
16.06.23 - UPDATE: All those who have booked will have now been sent an email with plot/pitch numbers for next week. For those that haven't, all our allocated pitches have been booked and apparently, the whole site is now fully booked.
Looking forward to seeing you next weekend. Long term weather forecast is promising despite the expected rain this weekend.
Firstly, huge thanks to James and Jason Henderson-Mead for organising the previous Full English events - I know they were enjoyed immensely.
This year, circumstances have dictated that they are unable to take it on, so Nikki Butt and I have taken on the challenge.
We are not currently planning to organise runs out as we do not know the local roads but we welcome any offers of help with this from local members. Last year we mostly relaxed and did our own thing which was fine, so we may just do the same again.
We will be returning to 2022's location at Yeatheridge Farm http://www.yeatheridge.co.uk/find-yeatheridge-farm/
Dates: Thu 22nd - Mon 26th June 2023.
We currently have 15 plots reserved in the same field we occupied last year (Long Meadow), all with hook-ups with electric metered and charged separately. As it is a group booking, Yeatheridge are charging us £45 per plot for the whole weekend - THIS IS THE SAME COST WHETHER YOU STAY 1, 2, 3 OR ALL FOUR NIGHTS. At just over £11/night plus electric for 4 nights, I'm sure you'll agree that's a bargain.
BOOKING PROCESS:
I will probably regret this but I will collate tentative bookings via email only to the following email address: bazzateer@hotmail.com
Please title your email "Full English" and include your full name, which nights you intend to stay, whether you are in a tent, a trailer tent or a camper/motorhome and whether you require an electrical hook-up.
I will reply with details for payment to reserve your plot (PayPal or Bank Transfer only please, no cheques). Please make your payment within 5 working days to ensure you keep your plot. Once I have received notification that your payment has been received, I will email you confirming your booking - bookings will not be confirmed until I have received confirmation of payment.
Do not send payments to me, they will be returned.
Bear in mind I will be managing the bookings in my spare time so you may not receive an instant response.
Once the 15 plots in Long Meadow have been paid for and confirmed, new bookings will be allocated plots elsewhere on site and details will be added to this thread.
The Club will pay Yeatheridge for confirmed bookings 1 month before the event (late May) after which refunds will not be available.
Currently statics are only available for weekly bookings although if this changes we will let you know.
I think that's all for now but please ask any questions on this thread (not my email) so that everyone can see the answers etc.
Hope to see you in Devon in June.
Baz and Nikki
01.02.23 - UPDATE: If you do not wish to camp in Long Meadow the Club price mentioned above does not apply at this stage. If you want to stay elsewhere on site you can contact the site direct and book - but you will be required to pay the going rates for that particular plot.
15.02.23 - UPDATE: Just a quick update to report that we have almost filled the 15 pitch allocation for Long Meadow and currently have nearly 30 attendees - with 4 months to go I think that's pretty decent!
03.05.23 - UPDATE: Great news!!! We have a couple of local members (James and Jason ) who have offered to sort out a couple of runs for us - mahoosive thanks guys! We've had one cancellation and one new booking so still need 2 more bookings to fill the first field.
A couple of members have requested pitches outside Long Meadow but we cannot book these at the discount price until we get a few more bookings.
This event could be ideal for those not able to attend the National in Perth this year - that's right Sussex, I'm looking at you!
20.05.23 - UPDATE: Bit of a mess up by the campsite means we have lost four pitches in Long Meadow but they have opened up some in the next field for us (Oak Tree Meadow). This means that those who asked for pitches outside Long Meadow can be accommodated.
11.06.23 - UPDATE: For all those who have booked I will email you with plot/pitch numbers next week. For those that haven't, there's still time to book through me and get the £45/4 night deal although I will not be taking any more bookings after Friday 16th. Anyone booking after that date will have to deal direct with the site, most likely at normal prices.

Re: Full English 2023 - UPDATED 16.06.23 - Fully Booked
Great weekend. Thanks to Nikki and Baz for stepping in and dealing with the site and bookings and James and Jason for the runs. Hope Jason gets over his cough quickly. Great venue, great food and bar. Farm animals for the youngsters to play with (Dom !!). Our trip home was OK - usual M5 slow, stop and go. Initially delayed by no lights on the trailer, but I think I know the problem - 'van socket needs rewiring. We had a really great time - great seeing everyone - roll on next year.

There's also the small matter of Ben being at school... and the fine for taking him out of school takes all the fun (and money) out of the weekend, mate.
