Google tells me that is a 4 hour 31 minute and 269.5 miles from me.
Now do I have time to get The Pest ready for it ... I wonder??

145 miles for us. Already ensured that we are holidaying abroad later in August next year so we'll be going.
This is the venue that I did my first supercar driving experience back in 2000.. 2 Ferrari's - 355 and Testarossa .. and it rained all day. Was good fun though.

By my reckoning its roughly 12,000 miles from Marahau, NZ to the nationals. I'd better start walking.colimp66 wrote:Google tells me that is a 4 hour 31 minute and 269.5 miles from me.

I think this is the only active forum post
To answer your questions:
All details issued so far about the site can be found on the website
https://www.theimpclub.co.uk/imp-2018/
The site will be open to visitors from around midday on Thursday 2nd
There will be on-site catering from Thursday evening through to Monday breakfast
Well behaved dogs will be allowed on site but subject to some rules (these will be in the official programme) - usually dogs need to be kept on a lead and an off-lead area is also usually available. Cannot confirm the exact arrangements at the moment.
The booking form for the event will be issued in June Impressions and booking will also be available through the club website.
All visitors 17 and over will need to purchase either an event pass or a day pass (this covers one day only). In addition those who wish to camp will be charged a daily camping rate.
No charge will be made for additional vehicles
Hope this helps - Lynda ( member of the Imp 18 organising team)

Re: Imp 2018 Leicestershire.
Hi all,
Don’t suppose anyone knows somewhere near the event venue or on the m1 corridor that could safely and securely store my imp on its car trailer between 27/7/18 and 4/8/18?
We are off to Brittany from the north east via Portsmouth and coming straight back to national on 4/8.
Can anyone assist or recommend anywhere that will be accessible on 4/8?
Thanks.

Re: Imp 2018 Leicestershire.

Great weather, great company all round, food OK, prices OK, beer cheaper than a pub, so grand. Wasps as mentioned by Dave Lane elsewhere, we're a bloomin nuisance. My daughter got stung twice (and she was by no means alone), no charges levied for auto jumbles meant that there were a great number of them. More than I've seen for a long, long time... This should continue in my opinion, as much was bought and sold. The ground could have been mowed and less bumpy, but hey ho. Showers failed to live up to expectations (or did they), but we managed best we could. Toilets seemed to be kept stocked, and although emptied regularly still got smelly. Band were very good, but their stated 20 minute break was anything but, however this was offset by them playing way beyond the stated time in the event leaflet. Fancy dress was well attended, which just goes to show how important the theme is to participation. Some truly great outfits

I've not much more to add, save to say that the weekend was quite relaxed, and even though I REALLY miss going out in convoy, the DIY approach works pretty well. I could moan, but I won't. Great weekend

Just home and mostly unpacked , nymph will have to wait till tomorrow .
FANTASTIC weekend although a tad hot .
Free auto jumble allowed me to come home £500 Up on the weekend , hope the auto jumble is free again next year .
Bar prices were good to so bought more drinks at the bar than usual , food was good for what it was and was always available.
I checked the forum on several ocations over the weekend and no one was online so no point in posting anything .(I.M.O.)( no one asked how it was going either)

Great Images Major matt
Would loved to have been there - but was distracted by family affairs in the leading months (graduations, birthdays, house moves, engagement party, hols etc) - so didn't have the Clan ready in time...it's ready (roadworthy) now though!
Looking forward to seeing more images (esp the Clans) as the weeks unfold.

Just one thing - any chance of posting the answers to the 'Just for Fun' quiz on the Forum sometime??? We want to know if we got them right and didn't see them on the noticeboard.

Re: Imp 2018 Leicestershire.
We had a great time, being our 2nd National. It seems we drunk the bar dry of the cider on tap by Sunday. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the autojumble (Lesley took a few orders so it was worth the effort, but was also a focal point for meeting people). The Saturday run was shorter than we'd really have liked, but we enjoyed going back to the field and chilling (metaphorically) with friends. The weather was very good. Sunday's show & shine was well attended (someone counted 230 cars), but a number didn't bother - personally I like so see all of the cars lined up on Sunday. There are so many really nice cars now. Many thanks to those who voted for Hilda in the Personalised Imp class, a few more and maybe she'd have taken 1st! Seriously the winner was very good (congratulations Paul Makin).
I haven't touched social media all weekend so I wasn't going to post on here. I haven't read a news report or newspaper, let alone think about the Forum or Facebook (is Trump still President?). All my photos are on camera, not phone, so without a laptop and internet connection there's no chance to post anything. Unlike so many these days I don't feel the need to send a running commentary on my life.
Anyway, we got home without incident. Lesley drove Hilda (150 each way) whilst I towed the caravan in air con luxury - Lesley was seriously hot by the time we got home. Many thanks to Andy Smith for running shotgun behind Lesley for half of each way - we had our own AA van following us ! I only got one roundabout wrong (which is unusual).
Many many thanks to all who contributed to the weekend, especially the organising team and helpers. Everything seemed to run seemlessly - which is what makes it look easy. Well done and thankyou. Phil & Lesley.

Another great national, a big thank you to everyone involved.
Spent far too much on the stalls, but also spoke to a lot of lovely people.
In many ways it restored my faith in the club, which can suffer a bit if you only see it through FB or the forum.

Yet another fantastic national weekend. Well done to all involved in running it.
We will be going through the feedback to see if anything else needs to be considered for future nationals.
