Re: Project Doris - the journey is long !
Seems that the universe still wants to throw things in the way but a bit more progress on old Doris.
Middle sill in on driver side after getting the floor pans in and doing all the repairs on the rear crossmeber areas and front foot wells.
Hoping this week to have both sill sections done, car on ground and ready for exterior panels.
Thats IF and its a BIG IF the rear spring mount upper sections are good enough to leave in place, finding in many ways the metal is not rotted but so weak you just cant weld to it properly after its cleaned off, the brown stuff has left it very lean.

Just one of the clips, wish I could really work as quick as that !
Yes I do have a spot welder there but its just one of these things the universe keeps throwing in my way. I can no longer lift it, far too heavy for me now so plug welds it is. I used to have a set of "tongs" at the end of some fork lift charge cables which were great, cant find them and I do not fancy buying cable these days to make more.
Enjoy
