Re: Racing 2022
CSCC 2022 calendar (includes Swinging Sixties where I am currently racing).
April 2nd/3rd Snetterton 300
April 23rd/24th Thruxton
May 14th/15th Anglesey Coastal
June 3rd/4th Brands Hatch Indy
June 23rd-26th Spa
July 16th/17th Castle Combe
August 29th Oulton Park
September 10th/11th Donington
October 8th/9th Silverstone National
October 29th Cadwell Park.
A great calendar except that I have 3 prior commitments in 2022, 2 of which take out the first 2 events, Thruxton clashing with Ecosse (please can you rearrange Ecosse by a week Jim?? No, I didn't think so after it has been postponed twice already!) And Thruxton is probably my favourite circuit. I will let people know nearer the time which events I plan to attend.

Re: Racing 2022
Hi. I have put a post on the facebook groups asking people who race to provide results and a short race report to post on here and the magazine. It will save me trawling through all the championships and different timing websites looking for info, all i will get is times and not the personal side of it so if you can help out that would be great. Not after a novel just some background to the day. I know that if you have had a bad day it is not something you will feel like doing straight away so there is no time constraints to get the report done or send a link to the official timing. please send info to mikedent87@gmail.com

4 imps out at Oulton park. I went down to collect Simon Bennoy's imp for a wiring loom install. Whilst there I took some Photo's so only got a snapshot of the drama's that unfolded for race 1. James lost the nut off the end of the drive shaft due to the thread necking off, luckily he has a disc brake conversion and this kept the wheel on so he finished race one. The imp racing community all pitched in and the car was soon repaired. David Heale had the distributor climb out of engagement so another easy fix and back out for race two, Freddie browns alternator bracket broke but again excellent team work and repair skills saw a bracket fabricated in the paddock to allow him to start race two. I am sorry but I do not know what happened to Michael loveland as by the time I had walked from Knickerbrook back to the paddock I only had time to catch up with Freddie and James. James won his class in both races. All four imps finished the second race. I will do my best to get some race reports into impressions mag from the drivers. Keep an eye on this page as I will add a link for the photo's I took.
