Neil,
I won't be bringing the trailer tent this year so will no longer require a hook up. Just a pitch for a tent.

Nope, it's not been out since the last WWW and is blocked in at the moment. No time to open it out and check it over - probably all moldy now

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
John K and myself are planning to travel down to WWW together on Thursday. We are planning to meet at about 11:00 in the car park opposite the Midway truck stop on the A41 and A49 at Prees Heath, just south of Whitchurh.
All are welcome to join us.
Set your Prat-Naff to SY13 3JT.
Route will be A49 to Craven Arms for lunch, then cross country to Three Cocks, then down to Abergaveny and on to Pandy. This avoids the big hill at Hope-under-Dinmore and the rush hour queues at Hereford!

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
The A49 is otherwise okay, usually, once you are south of Warrington. North of Warrington, take the M6! A49 to Hereford and then down the A465 'Heads of the Valleys' road to Pandy is a good route, EXCEPT the rush hour queues to cross the only bl00dy bridge for miles in Hereford! Not fun.
So last year we tried the "long cut" via Three Cocks. It's a longer way round, but I'm sure it was actually quicker. Plus the road from Three Cocks to Abergavenny is a stonking drive.

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
Took the car out for a little test drive today, after replacing the fuel pump diaphragm, all seemed well, so I filled it up with super unleaded ready for the off on Friday.
Unfortunately I am working Thursday night so won't make it to Wales until Friday evening. Hopefully I will get the tent up before it gets dark!

Just finished fixing VTB so will be in that this weekend, arriving Friday
Off side rear wheel cylinder failed on Sunday whilst coming home from Tesco - total failure, pedal suddenly to the floor and fluid all over the wheel and sprayed all round the inner arch! No idea why it failed so badly so quickly (was fine last week!) but there you go! All sorted now

Another superb WWW - yes, there was some rain, but mostly overnight. Runs out were terrific, Rising Sun did a very good job and the company was outstanding. Thanks to all who helped to make it happen and took part - glad to be back after missing the last couple due to racing commitments.

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
Just got in after leaving Pandy this morning. Many thanks to the Gurners for organising the event. It seems like the pub want us back next year which is great.
Many thanks to those who helped with Hilda's problems, offering support etc, but most of all to Malcolm for wielding my dinky hammer so deftly, and Andy Jones for helping get us back to Pandy when we lost the alternator bolt, that allowed engine temperature to rise alarmingly. When you have a heating problem 50 miles from camp it's great to have a master engine builder stop and help you.
Many thanks for the good comments about the Friday run, it makes the effort worthwhile. We've already started to think about next year..

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
Thanks to all (and particularly the other members of the ‘Friday Team’ and, of course, the Gurns for the whole event) for another super WWW. Thank you also to everyone who voted for Suzy – that’s her first prize ever and Dawn & I were absolutely gobsmacked and delighted to receive it. Don’t know how we will be able to prise it (and the red stiletto!) out of Suzy’s grasp!
It looks as if the new owners at the Rising Sun will be happy to see us all there next year for another super WWW - hope so.
Thanks again
Dawn, Roy, & Suzy

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
Thanks Gurn + family for another great W.W.W .
Did not go on any of the run`s as The Van let me down. Valve on the head of the Chessman engine was not sitting right, So towed it home before I did more damage. It Will need to be taken apart again! (so disappoint) as it got there so well. Did not take away from the weekend for Me, great welsh sunny days and cold beer. Thank You so much

Repeating thanks to Gurners, and to Phil & Lesley for Friday.
A lovely weekend, great to see so many friends to catch up with.
MarGowie made it home under her own power at about half past three, with one services stop.
Thanks also to all who helped with her various issues, both with suggestions and with actual help.
Much appreciated.

Re: Wicked Welsh 2016
Just back today after another epic road trip with the Saltire and Paradiso, 1430 trouble free miles, about 800 odd towing too, who said Imps were unreliable??
I had a great holiday, especially at the WWW, always a great event and one I'd hate to miss now so thanks also from me to The Gurns and all involved. Great to catch up with everyone again and brilliant to hear that the new owners want us back next year. Neil, can I be first to book a pitch with hook up please for next year?
Cheers Jim

What a great time ! big kudos to the Gurns far the fantastic organisation
The Saturday run out was ,well wicked ,I was totally knackered afterwards ...
Clan went faultlessly apart from losing the windscreen washer (needed a zip tie mod ...) and the crunching in the gearbox was sorted by not taking the clutch to the floor and over extending the clutch plate ,needed a bit more control on the clutch pedal and boy was my muscles hurting afterwards ! needs the "wooden block " mod to stop the pedal travel
'till the next time ....
