OAW 133P restoration under way. Dry stored since 1998, 48k miles, engine started and runs sweet as a nut, interior pretty perfect, gearbox fine. Needs the usual repairs etc.

Waxoyl.

The wheels are powder coated and lacquered. Not too worried about scraping the paint as they would do that anyway. But hopefully being power coated and lacquered (in error, they were only supposed to be powder coated!) they will be fine.

And relax...........................

OAW back at Imporium after a relatively uneventfull journey from Mouldyhills. No issues other than a blown tyre on the trailer. Lucky its a decent four wheel Brian James one and no idea how, where or when it happened. Maybe at the hairpin bend leading up the hill to Imporium?

Got a few bits and pieces to sort out on the dash and trim etc. but the mechanicals, bodywork and paint are absolutely superb.

Mot'd and taxed and on the road. First outing was the Linwood Day Run from the old factory in Linwood. A nice country route around Renfrewshire and Stirlingshire with a lunchhalt at the Oakwood Garden Centre, Killearn and a photo stop at the view point above Lennoxtown. Started off wet but dried out to a nice sunny and pleasent day. About 18 cars turned up, mainly Imps plus a Talbot Sunbeam and two Avenger Tigers. Many thanks to Ian Sinclair for the route and the minor detour!!! Got me too as I know the area well but after others turned, I went with the flow too. Campsie Alps are well worth a visit summer or winter.

Next outing will be Stirling, Hamilton and Errol, then Moffat.

Glasgow Merchant City Festival and outside the old Roootes office block at Linwood. OAW now final polished, just need to keep it clean and dry.
