Flippant reply is the attic.

Its not an inner but an outer because as you know the inners currently available DONT fit.
This way the arch profile at least match.

Scott
Ah right i was thinking you had found a supplier of good inners

Looks like we need a bigger board putting up then ? Before everyone disappears onto Farcebook :o
Is that where the formally known Noddy's gone, where the party is?

Scott,
I've always used Photobucket clunky as it is to post up any photos although a bit time consuming its never caused any issues.
Hate to think Farcebook is taking club members away from the forum. Im not on it so your stuck wth me here I'm afraid.
Doing a great job Scott, see the photos on Wednesday.
Cheers

Did you brace the shell I cant quite see whether you did or didnt? if not are you trying doors for alignment as you go, youre cutting quite a lot out, which is good as it means all the rot will have been dealt with.
The Imp shell I found was rather prone to movement if it wasnt braced or supported on its suspension spring mountings rather than the floor near them and even the weight of the engine can alter the shell alignment which is why I kept mine in as long as it was possible to do so when doing the sills etc, either this or its done on a proper body jig and clamped down.
Just wondering how youre keeping a check on things are not moving as you go?
Some very good detailed photos though.

No bracing - although lots of metal being removed, its only been done a bit at a time and then replaced and welded in.

No sign of movement but thanks for the concern.

Certainly there are times when I consider bracing is essential such as another project I'm doing.

Its her baby she loves driving a retro car, its got remote central locking, inertia seat belts front and rear plus lots of other modern features so the best of both worlds.

See above - its a keeper so the effort of removing all the rust by cutting it out is justified, some of it is surface only and could be treated but never convinced that its successful.

They may not be 100% but I'm glad to have them as still the best fitting non originals I've found.

That was a half day playing around with the wing to get it to fit  and that's just the bottom of the wing.

Gary - you have the ability from what you have already done just time consuming and soul destroying.

The other alternative is the Keith Lennox (if available)made repair section but that means buying twice as you still need an arch section as well.

It's like Little and Large next to the other project of the Mustaguar. . Ready for Imp Eccosse?

:D Cut out the rust on the floor at the front and reattached.
20160128_183729.jpg
Time to remove the old sill - apart from the front it was in very good condition
the floor edge a little crispy so out it all comes.
20160128_183752.jpg
Sill has been ordered. Today was the first time I've had to spend any money so far have had every thing I needed already, long may that continue :D

Well not spending money didn't last long :(

After removing the floor edge it was clear that there was rust under the seat support that can't be dealt with without removing the support or floor.

Contacted Bob at Imp Club Spares about a floor, only one side currently available and its the side I need LH and there is a Scottish member picking up stuff today. Must be my lucky day he can even drop it off to me on his way home, unfortunately this luck did not extend to choosing the lottery numbers last night.

Thanks Alan
