ONY649E - Trackday imp
Those of you who frequent facebook will know that I have recently purchased this car so I thought it was about time I put a readers cars thread up on it.
It came with a professionally fitted cage, a nice Brise 4.5 gallon alloy fuel tank, fibreglass bonnet + boot + doors, perspex windows(Including opening perspex quarter lights, something I haven't seen before) and alloy water pipes running through the car. My intention is to build it back it back up with some decent suspension/brakes/engine/gearbox and use it for doing a few trackdays.

That's rather nice, Chris. I'm looking forward to seeing which bits you fit and hearing how she goes on track.

Looks good Chris, will it be road legal too?
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Yes, at least at first i'll have it road legal. If it ever gets as far as having full race engine/gearbox then I will probably reconsider.

If you go full race you'll have to paint some blue stripes on it and show your Dad how it's done!

Re: ONY649E - Trackday imp
No immediate plans to do any racing on the basis that it's rather expensive. At least with trackday use I can get it up and running and I only need to be able to be fast enough to have fun, for racing everything would have to be rebuilt to the highest standard. + the high chance of some body damage at some point that I wouldn't expect on a track day.
That said if I did ever race I think the two blue stripes thing is a good idea

Mmmn, nice fibreglass bonnet and engine lid. Might have to steal those if replacements for mine aren't forthcoming by the time I get my shell back from the body shop!
Be nice to gain some Imps bits for a change rather than them disappearing from my shed

Hi Colin
Only just seen your reply - thanks for the offer but I have already got a new bonnet - just need a reliable laminator to finish preparing it for the race car! Let's see what the New Year brings...
Cheers - Simon
