I read on fb that Alex Clatcher died last week ,I would like to send my condolences to his family and friends and yet another great imp racer has gone to race up above

Very sad. He was a supremely quick driver ...but didn't venture south very often. He'd have been better known otherwise.

Very sad news. That's John Homewood and Alex Clacher in the space of 6 months. Two of the fastest and most successful Imp drivers of all time. I well remember reading about Alex's exploits at Croft regularly beating most of the bigger engined cars in the outright results.
