My Minx Husky
I noted way back in my "NPB 646L" topic about the 1960 Series 2 Husky I purchased.
During 2014 I did a lot of work on this vehicle sorting out non-functioning electrics!! Household wire with the solid ends bent over and left exposed!!!!!!!!!
I changed system from positive to negative earth, dynamo to alternator, added relays and fusebox. Upgraded lighting.
Decided to get it resprayed properly and so it went in to be done in Caramel and Regency Beige. Paint came from Colourweld UK Ltd near Bedford. Work well underway and then the Company doing the work went bust and the premises were locked up. Took some weeks to first, find out what was happening and then how I could retrieve the Husky and my Lancia Fulvia which had been in for MOT check over.
So I got my vehicles out after some hassle to find Fulvia was OK but parts were missing from Husky.Husky now back home and I am sorting through what is missing and / or damaged.
Couple of pictures

Hi Tom, that's looking better than last time I saw it.
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Looks a very good job, pity they went bust though halfway through, did you still have to pay up or were you lucky and got away with it?

I had made part payments so owed maybe £300 to the guy.The Nun wrote:Looks a very good job, pity they went bust though halfway through, did you still have to pay up or were you lucky and got away with it?
I have found out since that some people had made up-front payments and were not even informed he had closed down.
One guy has an E-type in there in bits, down to bare chassis with parts all over the place.

Hi Baz. Trust you are well?bazzateer wrote:Hi Tom, that's looking better than last time I saw it.
Yes it is but then it was complete and spares for the Minx style motors are not as good as for the IMP.
Need new quarterlight rubbers for instance. 175$au from Bodgy in Australia.

Re: My Minx Husky
I too like the look of the Husky, Tom. It's a pity that some bits seem to be missing or damaged, though. I hope your cars come out of the fiasco okay.

I know you need a new 'project' especially if I have picked the correct colour scheme.
