Memories of the track night at Imp06 when the campsite at Stirling RFC emptied and headed to Knockhill still remain. Knockhill is an excellent experience to add to your visit to Scotland and does not require the ownership of a race tuned imp to enter and enjoy the track. I entered in my police car last time and can now proudly state that it has been around Knockhill Circuit albeit Fran was unhappy she missed it having stayed to keep rally control open. So add this offered experience to your wish list and enjoy it when you come to Imp50 Perth next month. Mike Scott

Well at least if you put the lights and siren on everyone else will pull over and let you pass. :D

eh !!! No

Only chance to undertake a police car, give them a salute and disappear down the road only to do it all over again a few minutes later and not get into bother

I'll be there in the yellow pearl. Standard 875cc deluxe. Second hand engine fitted last week, only done 6 miles so far, so fingers crossed it makes it.

Hi Charlotte,
Yes it is, the spectator crowd at Imp06 was well received but its much more fun if you enter and have runs around the track. An opportunity missed if you do not......... go on 'live the dream'!

Are helmets required? And are passengers allowed?

Forgive my ignorance but never been to knockhill for a track event

Yes helmets required but can be hired from Knockhill for £5 on the night.

Passengers are allowed but must have signed on before going out.
There will be an age restriction but not sure what it is.

I'm booked in with my 998 G15 and will be bringing my daughter along who is looking forward to her first track experience :D . I've decided to leave the JK gearbox at home, so I'll be running with a standard gearbox. Maybe not as quick on the track, but a whole lot better on the run out days. Cheers, Karl Ginetta003

Where do I sign up? I found the website before, but cannot find it now. Could someone put a link in please or point me in the right direction.

My yellow imp won't be there now. Turns out it was the gearbox giving me trouble getting reverse
And then when I brought it home from mot it was overheating. Scott fanning kindly spent a few hours on it yesterday but when he did a compression test one of the cylinders was showing low compression. I don't have time to swap the engine and box in time for national so despite having booked a place I won't be there in an imp. :(

Just booked our places today for the track night. Never been round Knockhill in an Imp but watched my dad racing Imps there as a kid so really looking forward to sharing the car with him :D

Thats great news Callum I was wondering if you would make the National this year. I know you will enjoy Knockhill as much as your father Ricky did in all the imp related race cars he has driven over the years. Look forward to seeing you both this week. All the best. Mike

For those not going to the National you can still be part of the action at Knockhill as they have a webcam, it feeds live images from the hairpin area, so logon Thurday between 6-8pm to get a glimpse of what your missing.

Had a great night at Knockhill last night with my ten year old son who was suitably Impressed with the turn out of Imps & how quick some of them were :) .
Here is some of them in the paddock area.

All the way from Belgium, done a few laps then never went out again, not sure why?? I did like this one :D
Image

My sons favourite due to the noise it made & how quick it was, also that he was actaully taller than the roofline of it. Ian Forrest was out in this & wasn't hanging about.
Image

The only way you should transport your G15s...
Image

Towed with a matching Hunter
Image

I liked how this sits & was another quick Imp on throttle bodies I noticed in the paddock
Image

No action shots I am afraid as I only had my phone camera & its not the greatest

Cheers

Couple of good pics of the Clan - one on two wheels and another with tortured tyres if I gave you the numbers would you email them to me :?:

Cheers
