Just a wee picture of my new addition.

I'm sure some of you will recognize one of them.

Hi wee update

Started stripping car today in preparation for colour change.

Still cant decide on either the stripped out race look or refit the chamois trim so was very careful to remove all trim without damaging.

Rear window rubber is shot as are both rear side rubbers.

Started my shopping list could be a long one ha

The stripped out racer look can become very irritating very quickly IMHO and experience. Its noisy and not very comfy - if you want to do any more than about an hour in the car, its unpleasant.

The Chammy trim looks great and makes the car a nice place to be, IMHO.

BTW - don't bin the side rubbers as you cannot get new ones. Even if they are in poor shape, you have no other option...

Well another day of stripping fuel tank, lights , bonnet , dash ect.

Not going to get car blasted as i dont want to remove loom as well as that there is remarkably no rot at all and very little sign of welding

Have decided to retrim as original with full restored interior.

Want to fit works arches but have hardly seen any coupes with them fitted so not sure how that will go.

Parts list is running away already eek!!!!

Well tonight it was front suspension and steering rack.

No horrors so far Big thanks to one of the previous owners every bolt was oiled or greased. All underside is mega undersealed so dont think there is any point in stripping it off.

Found a company on the web that does soda blasting apparently it is very panel friendly and doesn't damage wiring so will probably have a go at that for the inside and boot/ engine bay.

Spoke to revolution today and they will make the wheels i want from scratch just have to work out the offset. Its getting 9 x 13 rear and 7 x 13 front.

Any advice on how to work out offset would be appreciated.

Its also got a fiesta front disc brake conversion but need to work out which fiesta they are off or can i fit XR2 calipers and discs???

Got car up on engine stands and started removing suspension.

Works arches arrived fit not to bad at front but will need a bit of work on rear.

Been back at the Chamois this weekend.

Engine and gearbox is out and started the enjoyable job of removing the underseal :(
Good old heatgun and scraper.

Only one wee bit of rot so far at the top of the front spring cup.

On a better note new suspension arrived and should get wishbones back from powder coaters tomorrow.
