a few weeks before christmas i went up to stroud to have a look at a mk1 chammie with the intention to throw it back together as fast as i can so i can get my other car off the road so ic an restore it well thats the theory but when i went to look at the car that was pushed into a barn with tonnes of parts and other cars around it i realised the shell was in fantastic condition considering it is number 3792 off the line and i couldent bring my self to jsut throwing it back togetherso the car is being totally restored

infact all the wending that i could see was it needed some work on the 2 front corners but i am exspecting more.
i have been told that the shell was going to be converted to have a bike engine fitted but fortunatly no cutting of the shell had taken place apart from the removal of the battery tray and rad brackets

the plan is that the car will have a 998 sport motor fitted with banded wellers it will also be lowerd and have ajustable dampers and front disk brakes
the car also came with some goodies that include a rollcage poly bush kit a fibreglass bonnet and boot lid

i am hoping to have benji back on the road for the national or at the latest www
thats al for now folks
im picking the car up next sat so i will update this when i get the car and give it a cheak over
cheers stu
ps if your wondering about the name benji it is named after jays dog from the inbetweeners
