Just noticed that for 2015, the "modified specialist" class for Imp powered cars up to 1040cc is still live.
However, although this includes Imps, Clans & Davrians, if I'm not mistaken, this class is not specifically for road legal cars, so if you were looking to dabble into Sprints/Hillclimbs with your road legal Imp, you could be against stripped out racers on slicks.

I was thinking of joining the HSA again this year but I'm now looking at the HRCR speed series for road legal classics which was launched at Gaydon yesterday
£20 registration fee and best 6 event scores out of 10, even a class for Group B rally cars

Hello all and hello Graham, sorry to hear the Davrian is not taking to the hills and circuits anymore but hope to catch up sometime.

I'm hanging in there in Class N, and for those thinking about it there are only two cars registered so far this season - me and Andrew Cairney, both in IMPs - no lightweight Clans, Davrians or Ginetta's to worry about and no real slicks allowed either, list 1A and 1B tyres only still. so come and play! - It would be a real shame for the class to disappear altogether.

I'm at Loton Park this weekend 18/19 April Car 55 (both days count for the Championship) if anyone is there come and say hello.

I'll find out from Andrew how Stuart is getting on when we meet up. Last I heard slow but steady recovery. Lovely that Andrew has registered the Imp for this season. My Imp finally has the lightweight wheels it deserves (pic above) so I'll see how it goes at Loton. Still running the 930 sport spec engine (with your modified flywheel!- 5th season no rebuilds!) albeit with combined in/ex manifold and twin 35 DHLB dellorto's.

Yes, wheels are Image (RM3) 13x6 front 13x7 rear under the standard arches - they build them to your offset....

HSA Championship is run by Hillclimb and Sprint Association not HRCR (they have their own championship now) HSA has rounds all over the country and a very friendly championship, see all the info at the excellent website www.hillclimbandsprint.co.uk

I'm hoping to spectate at Curborough this Sat 10th Oct.
Final round of the HSA Championship, 2 Imps entered.
Also an Ex Imper in his MX5!

It was good to see some old faces at Curborough yesterday.
Weather was great, too.

Well done to Greame Williamson, who made it into the class winners run off after beating, by a large margin, a 1700 Mk 1 Escort



It was great to see John Webster in his spaceframe Imp. All the years I competed in the HSA Championship, he would always visit us at the end of season Curborough, so it was a real pleasure to finally see him competing and enjoying his Imp.
