Re: Racing 2021
Not sure about HSCC but Simon was in good form at Anglesey with CSCC the other weekend. He qualified 15th just over a second behind the class leader (a 1380cc Turner). Despite his 1 minute success penalty he finished 18th and 4th in class - only 15 seconds behind the second in class, and setting the fastest lap time for the class. In the second race, starting 18th, he got up to 9th by the end of the first lap, and again despite his penalty was on for finishing 14th overall (from 38 starters) before suffering an output shaft failure on the last lap.
Some great driving!

Re: Racing 2021
The above photo was taken from the Wing garages at Silverstone where I raced on the GP circuit. It was a combined grid of Swinging Sixties groups 1 and 2 and Classic K, so a fantastic mixture of cars. There was a capacity entry and 61 cars took the rolling start. I started 20th but was passed by a few bigger engined cars during the first half of the race - they drive past on the straight but then hold me up through the corners. I have a 3 minute pit stop (normal is 2 minute but my success at Knockhill is responsible for the extra 60 seconds) and I resumed after the pit stop in 41st and had a much better time of the race, passing several cars, including a good dice with a Mini and finished 28th overall, 3rd in class of 10 starters. A great end to an enjoyable part season and good to see a few Impers spectating at this one.

Re: Racing 2021
Thanks for that Simon. It is quite surprising how many imps are competing and trying to hunt down reports and results to keep everyone informed of what is going on is quite time consuming.
