A timely reminder for all forum users

In recent days there have been two separate instances where I've had to remove postings in threads relating to Cars for sale on Ebay because the contents were considered contentious. Both could have started a mega-slanging match and caused the club significant problems if left to run.

To ease the workload for Chris Benoy & myself, who are incidentally moderating the forum on a temporary basis, please would all users refrain from posting comments in Items for sale threads regarding your opinion on condition or suitability, and/or any feelings you may have about the seller or purchaser at any time before, during or after the sale or auction process.

We are after all a club and this is our hobby, so please help us both by ensuring that the vendor, any possible purchaser and all forum users are treated equally and with respect when posting on the Forum.

All posts, not just those regarding cars or items for sale, continue to be closely monitored and any offensive, derogatory or otherwise contentious postings will be deleted and the reason for doing so will be advised to the poster by PM.

Thanks for your co-operation

Just a reminder of the above.

Can we all please remember that this is supposed to be our hobby. Differences of opinion happen. It’s its a real shame when posts start to get offensive or at least perceived as offensive.

So again can we all just think before we post.

Thank you
