Door card plastic non-warp £15.00 each *
cover with own vinyl or other finish

They are under the trim section. Bob does the door cards but I dont think he does the rear cards, you could ask him but I think you'll have to make those yourself?

Or you could order some from Lesley Smith :D

OK, Lesley Smith doesn't have the door cards, only the vinyl covers. We will do the complete item together.

I have had no result from ordering more door cards and other trim panels from our previous supplier. I have now taken several samples to a new potential supplier and am awaiting a quote from them. Hopefully more news soon for my growing "wanted list".

IMPortant thing to bear in mind the door cards on Rootes Imps are a different shape to those on Chrysler Imps and if ordering from someone you havent dealt with before are they just original hardboard material that absorb damp and swell and buckle?
The club ones I have now are a moisture proof board, I hope Bob can source more of that type, and if hardboard is used it will need a sealing coat applied of some kind to stop wet damaging it like the originals before they are trimmed up.

Thanks Peter, 100% correct.
The ones I have will fit the late Imps and can be trimmed for the earlier ones. They are 3mm Foamex which is waterproof and also fire retardent.
This week I took all samples for front doors and rear trim and door pockets to a new company, so am hoping that we will have them in stock again soon if they are not too expensive.
You can get vinyl trimming for them from Lesley Smith...

I have now received quotes for:

door cars
rr trim side panels
rr door pocket bases

All will be in fire-resistant black material, not plywood!, similar to those that we previously supplied. There is just a slight price increase, like with everything else in UK currently!

I am looking for someone who can lend us a good early door card to have copied. Ref. Peter's previous note.

The ones we have in stock are correct for the post 1968 doors with the anti-burst locks.

Thanks!

Think I've got an early door card Bob 66 car star locks you could have slightly warped but usable as a pattern?

Quick note to say thanks to Peter we did get the early door cards made earlier this year. Big delay because of lockdown and the previous company diverting all their business to making COVID signs... Oh, and another shall-remain-nameless company asking 2x the price...

Anyhow, we now have all the interior trim cards in stock including:
  • early and late door cards
rear side trim over wheel arches
    bottom of rear pockets
    above reat hatch
front and rear roof trim on coupe
side "cant rail" trim on coupe
If you need anything please just ask.
