help with parts

Postby G Gregory » Sun Aug 11, 2013 12:07 pm

Hi,
first time posting here, I've been trying for a few weeks now to get hold of club spares, both by phone and email and I'm now getting a little behind where I'd like to be with finishing a restoration my grandfather started with my father...

I need to get hold of:
7103230 Hose Rad Bottom
7103229 Hose Rad Top
a standard wheel nut
most importantly 139082 Adaptor for clutch pipe
9077102 Dowty seal Bottom oil drain, will need two of them

eventually I'm going to need a high efficiency recon rad too but I can't spare the funds with the repairs on my other car
I was wondering if anyone could help?
Thanks
Gary

Horsham, West sussex but I'm happy enough to go further afield for the parts I need (within reason)

Speedy Spares aren't that far away in Portslade, and they would've been around there during national weekend!

would they be likely to have the clutch hose adaptor? that's probably the most important one right now

You can only try. They have a website with an Imp parts list. Failing that, everyone else should be home from Perth by now. Maybe!

Malcolm Anderson should be able to help out with most, if not all I'd have thought. He posts very quick too. Worth a call to him.

Speedy's carry a lot of stuff so they would no doubt be able to help with some items.

right, how much would it all set me back might I ask? I'm eager to get hold of all this soon as I can, it'd be fantastic to see her rolling again after all the work I've put into getting the engine running smoothly

Edit: oh and I believe you're based in somerset, what would postage be like? it'll be a couple days at least till I could drive over there

And don't forget to call in on the Sussex Area Centre meeting for additional help. You'll find us at the Longshore PH, A259, Brighton Rd, Shoreham Beach BN43 5LD public house this Thursday from about 7.00 p.m onwards. Despite what others may like to tell you, we're actually alright.

Failing that, and a little closer to home , we will be at the Blacksmiths Arms, Stane Street, Adversane (on the crossroads), same time but on the Tuesday, 27th August.

the parts arrived sooner than I could have hoped for and all is in order, you provide a first class service and I expect her to make her first move in 7 years later this week, thanks, as for the meeting centre I might well pop in!
