Parts for reconditioning

Postby bouncybili » Fri Feb 25, 2011 12:25 am

Hi. Having a major clear out and have a load of old parts that I think might be suitable for reconditioning, including radiators and water pumps, but loads of other bits too.

Is the club/anyone else interested in any parts (and if so, what?) and how can I get them to you/them?

Sorry if this question is answered somewhere else, all a bit chaotic here as we are emigrating very soon.....

Thanks in advance, Bil.

Hi Bil,

As Bob Allan of Club spares doesn't come on here very often I think it would be worth an email to him at spares AT theimpclub.co.uk to see if he's interested.

If he is I'm sure we can get the club's Pony Express into gear to get everything to him.

Please keep us posted 8)

No worries, Andrew. With a name like that, you can't lose  I hope someone takes pity on you and finds the lamps you require. Alternatively, join the Imp club and you may get access to the club shop..........

What's the latest list of parts that are still being collected for recondtioning / remanufacture ?

And, will they be accepted at the National, and by whom ?

looking at the number of viewings i would guess that many people would like a definetive list of what parts the club are collecting for rework and would like that list intime to sort stuff out to take to national .

It's been posted elsewhere, but what Bob's after are water pumps, radiators and clutch parts. Also brake shoes, but he's not as short of those as the others.

Re: Parts for reconditioning

Postby bouncybili » Fri May 31, 2013 8:05 am

Hi!

I'm back on the topic!

I emigrated a few years back and left behind a barn full of spares. These are now ALL up for grabs (together with my Stiletto).

I know there are a few radiators (3 or 4?) and several water pumps (6? 10?).
There are numerous brake parts.

Anything that the club can use for reconditioning I will probably give away.
What else can be reconditioned?

The parts are near Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Can anyone get there very soon to collect?

Thanks

Bil.

Hi

Just to clear up any confusion.

I have a lot of old Imp bits. I'm not planning on giving them all away - just those things that the club can take for reconditioning, which I understand to include radiators and water pumps. The rest I'll be selling as a job lot.

If anyone wants an idea of what there is and wants to make me an offer, please PM me. I'm hoping to get some pics ASAP but I'm relying on other people as I'm not in the UK anymore!

Can anyone say what the club does want for recon?

Thanks
Bil.

Hi Bill,

yes we would be interested in radiators, clutches and water pumps for re-conditioning.

Problem is I'm in Warrington (NW) we'd need to get them up here. Do you know anyone who is passing or might be able to bring them up to a meeting?

Simon Benoy is in Stevenage, not sure if he can help?

Thanks - Bob

If anyone is passing Warrington on the M6 on their way up they could drop parts for re-conditioning at my place.

Look for barn sized garage on No.28 East View, Grappenhall WA4 2QE. Its the corner with Chester Road. East View is one way. Please make sure parts out of sight to avoid scrap men visiting.

We like to re-condition clutches, radiators and water pumps mostly.

Thanks to all who are helping with this and CU all in Perth.

I'll be coming to WWW on the Thursday and staying until Monday.
If anybody wants any parts from Dr Bob delivered, do let him know and I'll bring them down. As I am luxuriating in one the rooms at the pub over the weekend, I'll be able to bring my box trailer, so plenty of space for stuff.
Likewise, if anybody has any bits to donate for reconditioning, bring them to WWW and I'll take them back to Bob Allan's.
TTFN,
Bob.

Don't forget folks, if anybody coming to WWW has anything for exchange / reconditioning, I'll be able to pick it up there and drop it off at Bob Allan's on my way home.
I'll bring my trailer, so plenty of space! :)
