New house New car Almost a new year! Always loved this car. Extremely pleased to be the proud new owner. No bike engine or air suspension this time round.

For some reason it didn’t post any of the photos In order, Should of stuck with face book 😉

Plans for the moment are, completely strip the underside, paint underside, blast all suspension and brake components, paint and powder coat throughout, rebuild with all new brakes and brake components. Rebuild an imp engine :o and refit. Look into the wiring and possibly make a new loom.

Drive and enjoy.

As usual not hanging about with the strip and re-build keep the updates going i much prefer the forum for following a build thread. If you want to talk about looms i can offer you some advice based on lessons learnt.

Hi Dom,

So is the underside of the Nymph a steel Imp floorpan that then has the fibreglass body attached to it or have they just made a fibreglass copy of the Imp floorplan as part of the body structure?

Hey dude. It does look like an imp floor, but I don’t believe there is any metal in there at all. I’m sure mikey Hurn or gill hill will be able to Anwser.

Hi Dom,

just wondered as my Clan and Davrian don't look much like an imp floorpan.

While the pic of the Nymph looks pretty Imp like, so maybe they took a mould off an Imp one?

Great pic, never had my Clan at that angle when it was re-built.

I just lifted the bare lightweight luff shell, with the help of some mates, up about 4 foot in the air and put it on trestle stands and scaffold boards to get easier access to all the suspension parts.

That’s not a bad way of doing it. I preferd this way as I could work standing up instead of working above my head

No mate, they're not. Quite rare in fact. The moulds still exist but I'm led to believe that they are no longer in the best condition so new ones are pretty unlikely unless someone would invest in the repairs to them. You'll not find one in New Zealand, I'd wager !

Photos are in the wrong order and one is on the piss but you get the picture! All the original parts were used besides the water pump

All metal parts were stripped, blasted, and powder coated all from my Garrage at home

Very nice, thorough work Dom.

I've found the trick is to load the pictures in the reverse order you want them to appear in works for me.

Hey Dom,

If you swap out the front seats for something else, please can I have first dibs on them - they are Pele's original fronts, and I really shouldn't have let them go.

Thanks fella

An Imp engine in it! I'd would have expected a BMW K750 three cylinder to keep weight down.
Can you remember points and timing and carbs and other "old fashioned" engine things!

Some of you may remember when I first ‘reatored’ my stiletto, I took a photo of every single nut and bolt I changed.

When I reatored my singer I took photos of most nuts and bolts I changed

When I did the clan I took multiple photos of most large steps

Now I’m doing the nymph I’m lucky if I took a photo of the new freshly painted suspension 😂 is this normal!?
