Finished tidying up the place, much nicer to look at now but no chance of finding anything ever again

Did move this, it's for sale along with other body cuts such as the rear sections around the rear lights removed from a good shell as the other bits needed for the restoration of a Van. I'd rather offer it to forum users than putting up on Facebook, so if anyone else still here and interested please respond here, not pm's and I'll provide further information.

I discovered that the wiper motor earth back through the switch. Not powered via the switch and to earth as would be usual.

I discovered this after taking the back off the motor looking for faults and then doing the same to my spare, not getting either to move, being really confused and then finally..... looking at the haynes manual.

Have several of them, what you needing ? From outers only to complete inners with outers and inner rear quarter as one section.

£25 per side for outers only. £100 per side complete.

Will post some pics tomorrow.

Hi Scott when you say outer is that the blue piece and you have one side only. Are the complete ones with the bits of chassis rail and inner skin etc, there you have both an orange side and a green side each side of car?

There are pairs available for them all.

The blue ones are outer only.
Ideal for rust repairs around the tail light section or to be used with Imp Club rear quarters.

The green ones are inner and outers cut off in the boot behind the rear seat panel, with rusty lowers
Ideal for rust repairs where both inners and outers need work.

The orange ones are inner and outers surgically removed as full factory panel, rust free.
Would require complete removal of rear quarter to be fitted as factory - these would be ideal for an Imp with rear end accident damage whether NOS or Expressed Steel full quarter.

Lomond 26 - how about posting up some pics and can advise what would be most suitable.

Blue and orange ones not mine but I have them.

Hi Scott. Mine has rusted / bubbled on the rear drivers panel between the lights. I’d be really interested in a repair panel / cutout to replace that. Though might be pricey to post as I’m in S Ireland.

Steve

The Blue one would be good for that, there is a good covering of body filler spreading from the lower corner where its been repaired but no rust around the light area. £25

The good news is I'm coming over for the Irish Experience at end of May so can bring it with me. If your not going I'm sure one of the Irish members will take and keep it for you to collect and if not why not

Bad news, it would only be fair until to wait until I've heard from Lomond26 as he asked first however will give him until end of play tomorrow to reply so will let you know Tuesday morning if its still available but we will still have other options.

Cheers

Dave

They are around but not cheap, mainly squirrelled away and difficult getting people to part with them - rightly so.

Makes restorations much easier and better quality.

Just need a Drivers side complete side for a Van and we have the complete set. Anyone willing to help out :?:

Fitted the refurbished and painted hinge bracket within the Clan's driver's door wheel arch. New Bronze hinge bush set courtesy of Robin Human ... new (stout) penny washers welded to worn hinge pin holes...all ship-shape, nicely located and tight as a ...(better-than-new). Will definitely see me out anyway. :|

On to next stage. Removed driver's door beam for repair. 'L' bracket that locates the door beam to door bottom completely rotted into two parts ..but I have a cunning plan to replace it with a thermoplastic version ... easy to fabricate and it will be rot-proof! :D Clan004

Had a look for the drivers side green panel unfortunately it's not there, I think I used it to repair Karen's Sport.

I have several options for the passengers side but only have the orange one for the drivers side.

If you want I can remove the outer from the inner but will need £50 as fair bit of work unpicking it,
try a wanted ad on here and facebook and see if anyone else can help.
If no joy and you want it will sort and bring to Irish experience with me.

Cheers

Visited my Imps in storage in the country because I had sold the Mk1 Escort. The new owner has a twin-Weber Zetec powered MK2, an Anglia going the same way, a standard Anglia, Jag XJS, Falcons etc. Probably a silly move to sell but not enough time/space/money to keep them all.

This evening I got my eldest son, Danny, to give Stan a run out, as he hasn't been used since the end of April pre-operation. Tracker had flattened the battery a bit, so with boost-pack assistance off they went. He's going to take Stan to work tomorrow (an independent family owned garage) and check the gearbox oil level, as it's not been done for a few years now. As Danny is the service manager I'm hoping for a very small bill :D
