Dropped from a great height?

Post by pbergs »

So I park one of the smallest cars ever made in the centre of a quite large bay, a vehicle which only has a lock on the drivers door. I return to this. The car to the right of the offender is parked correctly . Go figure.

Didn't the idiot even consider that they might have scratched the side of their own car ?
obviously wouldn't have even bothered worrying about the other cars.

I guess you have to be careful saying "BMW Driver" on Imp forums nowadays... :)

So, with you unable to get into your car what did the BMW driver say when he/she returned? Huge apologies I would hope.

Judging by the pack of loo rolls you anticipated a long wait…

I bet the driver didnt know you needed a key to unlock your car as well, wot no smart key? :?

In the future when we also have driverless cars parking up I wonder if they will park like that?

We need a proper campaign started to increase the minimum size of car parking bays. And garages on new build homes. Both are woefully inadequately sized these days. :?

What about having decently wide roads on housing estates so that people don't have to park on pavements?

I agree. Modern cars have got too large and modern roads and parking spaces have not followed suit. Cars need to shrink again!

And I agree that the issue of inconsiderate parking is not exclusively a BMW owner thing. There are lots of inconsiderate people about. The point I was making earlier was about getting an apology out of anybody nowadays. Forget it!

Very perceptive Graham , although they were kitchen rolls!
The lady in question was shamed on the supermarket tannoy when she was urged to remove her badly parked car which was causing an obstruction. She did apologise but was more irritated than contrite. Even given the size of her car there was plenty of room in her bay so no excuse. I wish her no malice....just a bicycle .
