It will but thats a Stiletto, there was a time when folk referred to the fact it was an IMP a bit of an insult, the Stiletto was more up market than that and had snob appeal ;-)

True... when I was 18.
I could be seen to actually bristle when my Stiletto was referred to as an Imp.
Now I just quietly list the difference and watch eyes glaze over.

That snobbery I experienced a long time ago. Way before I joined the club.
I knew a guy who mostly snubbed me as his Stiletto was in his words "better by miles than my Imp".
He changed his tune when he decided to sell it. I declined to buy it for £100 telling him I prefer the rear window to open.

These days , as been said before ,the value of a concourse standard Imp is pretty similar to that of the Stiletto. Some Imps are rarer. 45 years on the difference in performance is no longer really relevant it's just a matter of what floats your boat. The Stiletto was made to appeal to those who wanted to compete with a mini cooper ,which it did on paper. The fastback which looked more aerodynamic was part of that appeal but through economic consideration lost the opening window. Incidentally the shape turned out to be slightly less efficient than the original squarer shape so put that in your pipe and smoke it...I would not have owned up to that one! When I get stopped by admirers and I do frequently, those who recognize it call it an Imp and that's fine!
A good car is a good car they all look great to me now.
