Getting close to sending my stiletto for paint will have to remember not to say in no hurry

Don't scratch it putting it all back together.
That will probably be the biggest challenge now.

Could leave it as it is paint work looks ok. But Booked in for next week so be sorted then. But had the car so long, things move on. Just come across a chamois sport (one owner car) So all my money is now going into this car now. And built My red stiletto Because this blue one was taking so long . So am no longer in a hurry to do this! I do wish I had never started on this blue one, nothing went right from the start.

Thank you Rhydian , Think I told you the history with it? I bought the car 18 years ago but fell out with the man that owned it.So he returned the money to me. Met him three year ago and he still had it! and offered it to Me again . so I bought that and the hartwell Imp engine saloon he had in the lock-up . See you and your Dad at the welsh weekend , Been a long time ! Were the hell have you been mate.

hi, it is in swansea Jack smith re-trimmers . He did a fabulous job , just like the original looked! You would never tell that its been done. Bit of a way for you to travel but re-trimmers like this one are now difficult to fined . cheep as well only £60. Did buy the vinyl form Tim Morgan on here , very good match. Have enough vinyl for three stiletto roofs here, but it is a bit different looks rougher grain

That looks great Ken - I bought that vinyl kit years ago for my Hartwell Stiletto. I can't remember for the life of me where I got it from, but it was an old 1970s replacement kit.

Nice sunny day in West Wales today , so refitted my re-trimmed seats . Early stilettos are a nightmare to fined but really pleased with these. Not exactly the same ? but happy enough with them.

Picked My hartwell engine and head up from Ken Acton today, Cant wait to here it run next week. (thank you Mate) .
The engine had not run for over 30 years so when it was stripped found the liners were cracked . So ken put in new liners and replaced all the bearings and new piston rings. The haerwell head was good and just needed to be cleaned and new wills rings fitted.
Cant wait to fit it :D :D :D

Thank you mate, so glad Ken sorted it out. At one point thought the engine would be scrap. Hope it runs better as I have changed the cam to r17, my other stiletto has a r20 not that happy with the way that go`s . Hope this gives it more grunt lower down on the revs. Should be fun. call mate? Be nice to see You.
