For a new build the blue book says 45mm x 2.5 for hoop, front legs , rear braces, diagonal and door bars. Strangely if you buy a cage from a certain manufacturer their certificated cage is only 38mm. Just imagine the difference in weight. Why the MSA let this happen I do not know but those that compromise safety in this way for a speed advantage need their heads examined.

Thanks for that Colin, I want to run twin throttle cables :o . How have you modified the pedal end to accomodate this :?:
I will take some pictures of the pedal but the bit that goes on the floor I will have to make another in a week or so and take pictures of that as its in the car and not easy to see with the suspension on ,I have always run twin cables ,the last thing you want is to be doing well in a race and the cable goes tits up ,or have another car on your rear panel when it goes

Colin is making a fantastic job on this build ..... Am sure he is sick of the site of it now though ! Need to sort out engine ASAP and maybe race it some time

Thanks for nice comments

Hope this to be a little lighter / stiffer and faster than the Fraser

Thanks guys

Am very sorry to say I have sold my new build race imp

With my new son (11 weeks old) I can't see me getting much time to race her

And I suppose the cash will come in handy

Looking for a nice std car just to drive around and

Enjoy.

Thanks all
