Getting very close. Picking up the engine and box next week then taking it upto Clark. Still hoping to have it done for the National!! Wheels only fitted to move it about! It's going on standard rims with hubcaps.

Thanks Tom. Clark is lending me a pair to get it finished but I need a set to replace them.

So a busy weekend ahead.

Down to Dave Weedon on Friday to collect the rebuilt engine and gearbox.

Home from Dave's to collect a trailer. Up to Clark's early Saturday to fit the engine and box and then onwards further into Scotland to collect the next project!! (More on that later.......maybe!)

Then home Saturday evening as we're running a 5k for charity in London's Docklands on Sunday. (In full fire kit!!)

In the meantime I've been giving the seats a bit of a clean. Here's the results. One done and one not!!

Image

More pictures next week.

Edit: The seat base is the same colour as the back. It's the light that makes it look different.

Cheers

Are you trying to corner the market in coupes, Rich?

I did do a double take - is that Turquoise Metallic with an Ochre interior? If so, same as Harty was - and quite unusual (Harty was a custom order).

To be honest the last thing I needed was another Imp!! But this came up in Impressions this month. It's a preproduction car and the earliest known to the Club. I couldn't resist!!!

It's got black interior trim with period fake sheepskin covers!!

Well done on the Stiletto! I've heard about this car on and off for years. It turns out it was only a couple of miles away from me.

I had heard that it was a pre production car.

It's amazing how they still keep cropping up.

I was quite excited about this car when I received the ad for Impressions. Yes, needs a fair bit of work but it's all there and is very significant historically. Glad it's gone to a good home.

That's good, Rich, then I'll be able to add the other photos I received when arranging the ad.

BTW during my contact with the owner I suggested he should apply to the DVLA to find it's history as we would be very interested to know the address used when it was first registered. Do let us know when you recieve it.
