Victoria passed her MOT test this morning.
The MOT tester was very complimentary about Victoria's repaired bodywork. He had worked in a body shop for four years.
On the way home I think I shed a tear when Rosie said "I'm so proud of you daddy".
Victoria just needs her VIC check and she will be back on the road.
Thankyou all for the kind words and encouragement along the way.

Thanks Peter
I am lucky to have an understanding wife and daughters, the Imps cost me less to run than 2 moderns but they do take up a bit of time. I haven't bought an Imp for over 7 years and only ever sold 2 , both went to club members
, both were then sold on
,both are no longer on the road
.An Imp is for life not for Christmas.

Thats a very good quote, especially if you find an IMP thats a bit of an old dog.
Its good to see all the effort you put into saving the car as I bet 90% of folk would have scrapped it and broken in down for parts
Its an inspiration to others to show them just what can be done.

Friday 3rd July Victoria took the four of us on the 220 mile round trip to Cambridge uni for Rosie to take part in the national final of the foreign language spelling bee. This was Victorias longest trip for 25 years.Apart from a few miles when the alternator stopped charging we had a great time.Vanessa couldn't beleive how comfortable and quite it was in the back seat of a Californian. The high point of the day was Rosie finishing third out of the 22,000 year 7s who had entered the Spanish competion.

Just read through this incredibly impressive thread and am in total awe of what you have achieved Tim. I have never seen an engine cover luggage rack like yours, was it a factory option or something your father modified to fit the car?
I may have the body of an old man, by my mind is a sharp as a boulder.
