Gurns imp

Post by GURNSIMPS » Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:39 pm

Hi all,Myself and Tina have been using the imp everyday over the past few months with only a few problems, firstly it was a failed comp do-nut which was changed within the hour then the master cylinder cried enough!! same again although sods law says it had to fail just after I had brimmed the tank with fuel so it had to be drained out before removing the tank!! Last but not least one of the rear wheel cylinders sprang a leak so it was changed too. Big thanks to Malcolm Anderson for the speedy delivery on all items and for advice on various things.

forgot to post the photo of imp in snow, what a difference to my old imp which had 12 inch wheels and was unstoppable in the snow,ROD with its wide tyres is useless in the snow, absolutely goes where it wants to,no amount of twiddling the steering will get it to steer where i wanted to go!

Also popped over the Rhonnda on Saturday to take a look at celyn for Fran but Fran and celyn were out but Myself and Adam stopped for some photo's on top of the Rhigos Mountain.

Lastly before I bore you all to sleep,a Young lad living opposite our house has a new car and insists on parking it next to our Imp,Tina has told him he has to wash it more often because he is lowering the tone of the place!!!!

Your car looks great, Neil. :) Good to see the Mini in its rightful place - sniffing Imp exhaust fumes! The Mini looks pretty cool too, actually. :?

Alas, not yet, Neil. :( It's the old problem - cashflow! As in I get cash and it flows away from me! But soon, hopefully. My Readers' Cars thread is languishing at the bottom of the page right now, looking rather sorry for itself.

Is this photo any good Mike?

I don't think it was catching on the shaft but I will bow to your better judgement if you know something I don't. By the way did you get my PM about the wheel cover?
