Hiya Matt, what made you decide not to use them? I'm curious. I have fitted LEDs for the interior lamp and for the dashboard (illumination only, not oil, volts or indicators etc), but have stuck with the standard filament type for the exterior.

I know some are what they call directional in that you can only see a light when looking straight onto them and they don't show from the side so well and you really need them to show 360 degrees especially with rear lights and indicators, don't know if these type do.

Suzy has these particular types of LEDs fitted as side, indicator, and stop/tail lights. The angular spread of light from all of them is excellent - quite as good as the original incandescent bulbs. I checked that out by just fitting the LEDs to one side of the car and comparing the result to the other side before fitting the full set. In my opinion definitely an improvement - besides taking less current. The LED brake lights also light up a fraction of a second before the original incandescent bulbs do - thus slightly reducing the chance of being hit from behind.
