23rd March- High Beech nr Chingford. RR meet + Rolling Road

Postby skamanfrank » Tue Mar 11, 2008 3:40 am

Hi all, a retro rides meet taking place.

Baz, Paul, Ben, I reckon all three of you are within reach of this one :) Be cool to get a couple of imps there and a hunter or a passat ;)

On the 23rd March at 10am a few of us will be meeting up at the King's Oak pub in High Beech:

I reckon that with a good turn out this could be a seriously cool little meet. Maybe not even little?!

Go on, you know you want to.

'Twas a nice little meet this. FREEZING cold, but good none the less. Lovely turn out of British cars including two imps:

Hopefully this will turn into a monthly event and when the weather gets better turnout will increase :)

I didn't, but Seth did and I stole the photos from RR! :p
No carb problems on the way back thankfully. Guess it must have been slightly warmer by then!

Baz I know I know, when are you and Frank going to stop ribbing me over my terrible tye choice.  I even said I would change the profile of my cart wheels, but her indoors wont understand spending money asthetics and practicallity. all my money seems to have go on doing up this house of mine at the mo. I promise that come the national the wheels and tyre profile will have changed and the car will be some what lower. (thats right isnt it Frank)

Good meet at the kings oak tho lovely ford cortina esatate you would have loved.

regards Ben

Yeah, we'll get it sorted Ben don't you worry about that!! Believe Baz has seen the cortina before- it was at the retro rides Ace Cafe meet. Stunning piece of kit it must be said.

Hopefully the meet will become monthly, but I won't be around for the next couple if so
Cheers
