Outstanding effort by Richard Murtha

Post by Dom » Mon Aug 05, 2019 8:02 pm

I just think everyone needs to know that today Richard went above and beyond and literally out of his way to help out one of my young members in his time of need. An incident happend in the early evening of last night leaving a fellow young members car undrivable. Richard borrowed a friends trailer and took my good friend Harry, and his girlfriend all their luggage and imp a solid 6/7 hour drive with traffic from Preston to haisling island (Portsmouth) 290 is miles (almost the furthest traveld imp on the way up may I add) as far as I am aware Richard did this out of the goodness of his own heart and I believe he needs to be recognised and thanked for quite clearly going above and beyond his role as national organiser (or one of)

Massive thanks from me and all the other young members Richard. True gentleman sir.

Aside from the incident, great national, solid weather, amazing cars and people. Will see you all next year

Don't talk to me about the journey back.....got to face that yet :) -stayed overnight at one of Blanche's relatives in Bournemouth.

Happy to help - couldn't see the young lad stranded..........wrote off my first Imp when I was 19, a long way from home, and I remember what a major PITA that was.....

Truly an outstanding gesture from Richard, well done that man.

This sums up what makes The Imp Club so special and unique, that we always have members willing to help others in times of need. I take both my hats off to you Richard, including my trademark ginger hairy one

Regards, Jim

Top effort Richard.

I know how exhausted I felt after Paddock wood National. To do that drive after running the show is impressive to say the least and way above and beyond. True spirit of the Imp Club being shown here.

And ater having his arm twisted to be the main man, doing it brilliantly, then this on top.
What a star!

Good job Richard. I love hearing about great deeds like this between folk especially in this day and age. Heart warming :D
