Only one article received. Did no area centres put on Drive It Day runs this year?

Cope date for June mag tomorrow so still time to get it in if you're quick! Thanks.

Sorry Grahame, I took my Singer Vogue out for it's first run in 18 months.
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

No problem Baz!

So, no area centre runs this year then?

The last two runs I organised for our Area Centre (Sheffield and North Notts) resulted in a zero turnout from our own members. We had a few Imps from the neighbouring Barnsley AC, and one from Derby the first time, but that was it. So I haven't bothered since as sadly there doesn't seem to be an appetite for it.

That must have been very disappointing for you, having gone to the trouble of organising the run.

Drive It Day has been running for a number of years now (about 12 at a guess), maybe it has run its course.

I was out all day on the road in the Dales on Sunday (on my bike) and I saw just one TR4/5 and a White Moggie convertible.

I was Baltic mind, ...very cold air temps, ...not much chance of overheating - which should have brought-out IMPs, STAGS, and ELANS in the hundreds. :?

Tour of Yorkshire Bike race was in the area complete with hoards of police doing rolling road closures, so maybe that had an effect here too?

South East Wales area did a run out - 5 cars participating. Roy mentioned it on another post/thread:

Some photos were taken - I'll drop him a message and ask him to send some to you Grahame.

I'd said I'd only received one report — that one was Roy's!
