I thought the auto choke went with the pneumatic throttle?
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Hannah's sister in the UK emailed us that letter. How we giggled. No matter what the classic there will always be a hater who had a bad time.

Cant wait to get mine on the road! :D

Thing is, classic, has nothing to do with how reliable something is, that chap is a classic example of an owner who never does any weekly checks on their vehicle probably. Then quotes the classic faults classically.

Absolutely. In the same way that an antique clock is valuable even though it is certain to be less accurate than the clock on your mobile phone.

I'm getting the feeling that that letter is a recycled one. Either that, or I'm psychic. Perhaps someone should despatch a letter to the Times to highlight their error. :)

And, if true, I guess his mini didn't rust, didn't fail in wet weather, or leak, and didn't attempt to rattle his fillings out, or cut his head open if he ever checked under the bonnet.?
