Information for times at the Dartford crossing.

This year's national I will be attempting to the Dartford crossing quite early on the Friday morning.
I know about the charges and saw that before 6am there's none.
This got me thinking that if I ended up close to this time then traffic may hold me up. So here is a question for those few poor people who use the crossing on a regular basis.
I can more or less gauge what time I will assault the M25. But from there I've not got a clue how much traffic will steal time away. So if I had a plan that includes knowledge that if I haven't got to a point in the journey I'm wasting my time believing I'm going to make it past before the change to charging.
Can anyone on here enlighten me please ?

Having been stuck on the M25 at 3am for 2hours in traffic, there is no rhyme or reason to it. Its London - therefore busy. Don't bank on anything with that road... except that it will take longer than you want it to.

Frankly, for the cost of the toll is it really worth getting up that early to save that?
