Just a bump up the list for this one.

When the hillclimb and sprint classes used to run at up to 1000cc and even at the revised 1300cc and 1400cc class breaks, Davian's were used quite a lot on the speed scene. In '78, it's listed that Charles Barter won 3 hillclimb championships running in the Modified Sports car class. The BARC Euroblast, RAC Haynes Leaders and The Prescott Gold Cup and he won the class at all events he entered in a Davrian Mk7 powered by a Hartwell Imp engine.

The ACSMC, still run a 1400cc Modified class and there are still some Davrian’s being used in this series.

The Davrian Special Saloon versions, were also used in the old Special Saloon car classes, which were eventually superseded by the current Sports Libre classes.

As well as the hills, people like Pat Longhurst and Bob Jarvis proved to be extremely dominant in modsports and kitcar racing during the '70s and '80s. In Scotland the likes of Kenny Coleman and Harry Simpson ran Davrian's and were often giant killers on the Scottish circuit racing scene.

Should be quite a good turn out of Imp and the odd Mini/Ford/Renault and BMW engined range of Davrian's for this in a couple of weekends time.

From what I hear, they hope to have at least one of each Mk of Davrian at the event along with some of the latest offerings from Darrian.

This is the latest update from Davrian.net/New Davrian Register
"Due to the fantastic take up for places on the New Davrian Register stand at the Castle Combe Rally Day, the stand size has now been expanded to cater for a total of 30 cars of which at least 20 should be Davrians. There are still a few places available so don't delay, contact the NDR today!

For latest news and info please follow the link to the NDR website, which can now be accessed via http://www.newdavrianregister.net.

Should be quite a good day
