Yes Baz. In an ideal world. Which this isn't. You should put on dipped headlights in low light/inclement weather, but they don't. You shouldn't drive only in the middle lane until it's time to turn off, but they do. You shouldn't be texting/phoning/e-mailing while on the move. But they do.

Muttermuttermutter.

Good point. That page says 'Come back soon'. Hopefully one of the organisers will read your post and update it in the next day or two!

EDIT: Just had a look at the campsite website. It's all in Dutch (perhaps not surprising, that) but it does have the address (and possibly postcode?) here:

What a fantastic weekend. I had a great time. The location was superb, the scenic runs passed through lovely countryside.

A massive thankyou to the Going Dutch team.

What an awesome trip!

The car was on top form, only issue was a broken exhaust strap (Dremples!!) - a big thank you to Rob Immers who kindly gave me some punched metal strip to replace it with until I got home.

I even managed to get the carbs/tickover set up on the Dellortos for the first time ever (They've only been on 11 years!) it made the return trip a lot more pleasant :)

Great weather on our way out (chunnel):

But rubbish on the way home. It took five hours to reach Calais in constant thunder/lightning, even a tree had blown down onto the motorway. At times the spray was so bad it was literally impossible to see where we were going. By the time we got to the chunnel the car was thoroughly drenched!

We got home about 8pm I think. Thanks to everyone who helped to organise the event - we had a great time with great company!

Just to add mine and Keith's thanks, absolutely cracking event not enough superlatives to describe how good it was.

Weather was great, even when it was raining it was warm not something that can often be said in Scotland, scenery outstanding, runs superb the brewery and Daf Museum were very entertaining. Our hosts were attentive and the company enjoyable.

We had a misfire before we left Scotland which persisted for the week which might have been down to a problem with the carb as we manage to get from the camp site near the German border all the way to Gala on 13.91litres -60+ mpg so maybe a little lean.
We also had a problem with the clutch not clearing causing some difficulties getting it into gear especially first but it just kept soldiering on - game little donkey.

Be careful forcing it, the gear lever can be broken off :o but if your clutch is tending to drag and making first difficult move the lever into second then into first, it will go in easier, as a temporary get you by measure?

Many thanks to the Dutch Impers for hosting yet another wonderful event.

We really enjoyed our time in Groesbeek. Unfortunately we had to head for home earlier than intended due to dad passing away. We had a trouble free run home with a clear, dry evening, arriving 01:00hrs on Monday morning. The ferry devoid of Impers was a strange, lonely experience though.

Hope everyone enjoyed the run to the DAF museum. It sounds like we got away before the rains swept in.

Many thanks to all our fellow Impers who were so kind and sympathetic on Saturday.

Another fantastic Going Dutch - many thanks to the organisers and all who attended. Especially big thanks to Ernst-Paul and the crew who sorted me out with a water pump when mine failed on the run to the brewery. Missed the brewery tour, but the compensations were that we were able to sample allegedly the best ice cream in the Netherlands (it was really good) and then we visited the Castle gardens at Arcen as an alternative to the brewery which we were too late for (sorry Hans) and had a wonderful afternoon. Then on Saturday evening, those of us who have attended every Going Dutch were awarded a bottle of Prestige ale from the brewery, so a really nice outcome. Journey home was fine, only got slightly wet as the G15 isn't remotely watertight, partly due to me not having finished putting it together yet (only restored about 20 years ago!). And we didn't have a wet tent, due to taking the soft option of a mobile home...

Had a great time at Going Dutch 2016, if a little on the quiet side. With so many attendees taking up the chalet or static caravan options, there were few campers as such, which meant little noise. I'm not complaining, it was just a little different is all. Thanks to all who I chatted with and to the organisers for a great job, well done. Thought I'd add a couple of images :-
