Good question. I'm assuming it's a turn up and pay at the pub affair?

Let Gurns know you're coming and whether you need a hook-up.

Upon arrival stop in the car park and go into the pub to pay. They will allocate a pitch to you depending on whether you're on the list for a hook-up.

Re: WICKED WELSH 2015 - Friday run - 25th September

Post by RoyBlunt » Thu Sep 17, 2015 1:42 pm

The Friday run will leave Pandy at around 12:30. First scheduled stop will be Weston’s Cider Centre in Much Marcle (around 13:30) where there is a café, picnic place, shop, museum, displays, toilets, and children’s playground. From there we move on to Ledbury, (an attractive market town) about 15 minutes away and can stop there (Pay & Display car parks available) if desired, before returning to Pandy via Skenfrith Castle (worth visiting - also has free parking). The full run is about 70 miles long and petrol is available en-route if required. Because of the nature of some of the roads on the route (picturesque and interesting, but quite narrow in places!) we suggest that it would be better to go off as small groups of cars rather than one long convoy. Route notes and further information will be handed out at Pandy.

If you are interested in coming on the run I’d appreciate it if you could PM me so we have a rough idea of the likely number of cars – although, of course, there is no obligation and anyone will be welcome to join in on the day.

Many thanks to Peter Hurst for suggesting the route.

Was going to bring my van to the Welsh weekend ! But Its got the best of Me. Started throwing things at it today , So going to leave it for now. Tried to rush it for the weekend and thats no good. Found it in a lock-up ,Not been used from the mid seventies never been welded and so original. Even the letters on the side are hand painted. Disappointed But there always next year. The welsh weekend is going to be a good one :) so many people are coming. Will Be there in my 1970 Toyota (and maybe an imp as well) Can wait

Have you tried ringing the number on the van to see if the firm is still going? 051 was Liverpool. it's 0151 now, but the other 7 digits would be the same.

Hi Bob Could very well-be, Have thought about ringing? But would Not know what to say If he has past-away :?: may do :?: Did buy the van in a dis-used Bus station depot in Denbigh so not that far away from Liverpool . As I said in the last post, Would love to have brought it next week as its so original used van. Back of it is stinking with oil and grease! I think it was the service van for the buses . May ring? would love to fined out?

Ken, just hit them with the truth. Always the best policy in the long run. Try the number and if you get an answer tell them that you've got this ancient van and it has that 'phone number on it. Unless Mr A Simpson junior only passed away very recently, I can't see how there could ever be any possible harm in doing that.
Good luck!

PARTS FOR RECONDITIONING.

If anybody has any parts for reconditioning by imp club spares, I should be able to collect them at WWW as I'll have my box trailer with me.
Thinks like brake shoes, clutches, water pumps, radiators etc.

From experience you're usually either rebuilding your engine or cleaning up the vomit outside your tent/car.

You cant have a Bake off if they are already made, it would be a Baked off, or Gone off, one or the other.
