He's a bit ill at the moment - Possibly the gearbox? DaveTheVan is coming to check him out tomorrow.

I'm staying at The Rising Sun (in one of the rooms) on the Friday & Saturday night. I won't be there until tea time on the Friday as I have a funeral to go to :( Looks like I might be under 2CV power  If that's allowed........

Hmmm... well sadly it is looking like we might not be able to make it this year at all unfortunately. Still in discussions regarding showing up just for the day on Saturday in the Stiletto but it's not looking likely :( We've hit a bit of a wall with the Van engine set-up so that's still very much a work-in-progress as of this morning.

Nearly 6pm and it's stopped raining, and due to dry out this evening.
Tomorrow's forecast is much better, dry with sun in the afternoon!
I'm heading to the Rising Sun for a pint :P

Sorry - 6:10 and its starting drizzling again, this is Wales I suppose!

Hi, is anyone t the WWW going from anywhere near me. I'm in the Fens, but can get over to the M1 maybe. Clark is willing to bring my FWM engine bits there, if anyone is going from towards the Est Midlands/East Anglia. I will be forever grateful.
There's a bespoke model of your Imp in it and I do that professionally!

Cheers,

So I'll still be getting the train down tomorrow, arriving in Abergavenny at 13:02 (this is the earliest I can make it). Is the offer for a lift up to Pandy still on the cards Gurns/Noddy/anyone else that's willing? :)

Hi,
Attended my first WWW on Saturday, came for the scenic tour.
Thanks to Charlotte and Dave the van for letting me tag on behind them on the tour.
Unfortunately my "little monster" decided to go on three cylinders at low revs, reluctantly I decided to go for an early bath.
Thanks also to all those who stopped with me in the lay-by asking if any assistance was required.
I managed to get it home under its own steam.
I striped it today and found that the manifold gasket had disintegrated around no 1 inlet port (see photo), good news really !!
To put salt on the wound I lost my WWW plague somewhere :x
Hope to have better fortune next year.

P.S. Andy, probably the car sulked because I took it out in the rain. lol

Thoroughly brilliant (or should that be wicked) weekend had by Karen, Josh and myself. As WWW virgins we had no idea quite what to expect but were taken back by how friendly everyone was. We have made some really good friendships and even renewed some old ones. A really family friendly event, we didn't see Josh for hours on end but knew Adam and he were having fun in safe surroundings. A great run out on Saturday (we arrived Friday eve) and I'd really recommend it to anyone. We will be back next year for sure.

Thanks to Neil, Tina, Adam and everyone else who helped make the event run so smoothly.

Well guys!

I'm so glad I made the trip on the train down, even if it was brief, it was totally worth it! Noddy, I saw your car going the other way while I was in the taxi going to the site... not surprised it won best Chammy, it looked fab on the road!
A huuuge thanks goes to Sue and Andy, who not only took me out on the run in their beautiful blue Imp (the views from that road were incredible btw), but let me actually drive it round the car park!! My first spin in an Imp! Everybody commented on the big grin on my face  It's official, I've caught the bug.

So here's to the future meeting's I'll be going to, can't wait to join in with an Imp of my own.

Pog.

P.S. I took a good number of photos, so when they're back from the lab (that's right, they were taken on film!), I'll share them with you all.

Once bitten by the Imp, and even the Imp Club, bug you're caught forever.
Don't rush it though. The first Imp you see for sale may not be the best one to start with. But then again, the perfect one will probably never turn up.

Thanks to Neil and Tina for another fab WWW. It gets better every year. Stayed for 4 days this time and will be doing the same next year. The Saturday night will definitely go down in history. Lets just say that those of you who didn't come missed out big time and I'm not going to tell you why either!!!!! No doubt some one will post some photos. Let's just say Clarke, Rob and Mark have a fab sense of humour.
Thanks to everyone for voting for Hilda as best Chrysler Imp. We were absolutely stunned by everyone's response to the car.

Once again a magic WWW - thanks to Neil, Tina and Adam, and also Matt, Tracey and the girls for looking after (and putting up with) us all weekend.

Special thanks to Dom for letting me ride shotgun and Andy for letting me drive his Husky over the ranges. Thanks to Traco for driving me on the Sunday run.
Also big thanks to Clark for letting me have a go in the Clan and for building that lovely Husky!

Biggest thanks of all though to "Mankini Mark" for giving us all the best laugh in ages - you're a true star Mark. To do that took some ****s!

Great to meet up with you all again, can't wait until the next one!

Hello boys and girls!!!

When Baz said he was taking me back to the Wicked Welsh I thought he was going to throw me back into the Naffle, who could have predicted that not only did we all have a superb time, but I made three new friends!!! We're going to have so much fun together travelling about the country, visiting strange new places beginning with 'D'.

Just wanted to add my thanks to Neil, Tina & Adam for a fantastic weekend and also to the organisers of the Friday run to the transport bridge, what a great experience. The whole weekend was superb, I was so chuffed that I brought the Saltire (thats the SINGER not the SUNBEAM!!!!!) as driving it over those fantastic roads on Saturday is something I'll never forget. I'll also never forget Mankini Mark either unless the therapy sessions I've booked work out :D Truelly a moment of history in the making there, total respect to that man
The Saltire (thats the SINGER not the SUNBEAM!!!!!) performed faultlessly all weekend, I covered a total of 1080 miles with 800 of those having the Paradiso camper thingy on the back.
Looking forward to next years WWW already, I might even win the best SINGER award next time instead of best Sunbeam

Regards, a tired but very happy Jim :D

Great to meet some of you last thursday night/friday morning! It was wonderfully nostalgic to see all kinds of Imps and Impers again after so many years. What a great event.
Special thanks to Richard and Karen for their hospitality and generosity. You are a great credit to the Club.
Good to see that Malcolm has barely changed since I last saw him (1984!)

Sorry that I couldn't stay for longer this time, would have loved to have hitched a ride in an Imp or two and it sounds like I missed a rather special night on saturday ! ;)

Look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Well there's another Welsh over and done with, many thanks to all that made the journey to be with us,only 2 down sides to the weekend for me,First was the hangover on Saturday morning!!!     but that was self inflicted (although not as bad as Tina's who was convinced it was something she had eaten, thanks to Karen for stepping in to help while Tina was ...ahem under the weather) and second was the cock up with the Trophies,I was gutted when I realised what had happened,I did apologise to Jim and as usual he was a true Gentleman about it,I should have picked up on it before announcing it because Jim's SINGER has won at Welsh a few times.
Strangely 7 people voted for Jim's SINGER as best Sunbeam and for some reason I picked up the wrong form when announcing the win.
Apologies again Jim and thanks for making the huge journey in your fabulous SINGER. :)
The sheep festival seems to be popular as there is plenty to see and do although I don't want to over do it so maybe something different next year? (let me know guys/gals)
The scenic run was the same as last year but it didn't seem to matter as you all had huge grins every time we stopped to regroup.
Every time I seem Uncle Malcolm he was busy in one imp engine bay or another...bus man's Holiday eh Malc?
Matt and Tracey were as always SUPERB and the wait for food problem has been sorted out.
I feel I should state again that the raffle prizes are very tongue in cheek and not to be taken too seriously, it would cost us too much money to have expensive prizes for everyone.
Mark Mankini man you sir are a STAR and hope you will be back next year (I did hear rumor's that the mankini is to be washed and entered into next years raffle!     )
I was choked when Eathan told me that he had enjoyed the weekend and that it was one of the best Birthdays he has had.
What a credit to you he is Rob.
I was a bit gutted that there was no where to pull in for photo's on the Sunday run as the sheer drops from the road edge have to be seen to be believed!
MANY MANY thanks to Roy and Sue Blunt and Phil and Lesley Smith for the Friday run out,I am just sorry I had too much to do to get out on it with the other imper's.
Lastly can myself Tina and Adam thank you all for making the effort to support us every Year and here's looking forward to the 15th Wicked Welsh!!

Thanks - you are welcome to use any of them. If you want full resolution files just let me know. I'm planning to get a short note on Friday's run plus photos for Impressions off to Grahame tonight.

Roy

You are welcome to my photos of Friday too, haven't uploaded anything yet. Mine are mostly of Friday and Sunday so there may be some you can use. I'm back home tonight so hopefully will get some loaded - I have a few of the Bridge and Forest Drive.
