Been discussed before. It appears to be a throw-back to when this site was originally built and for some reason no-one was given access to that section and the original Admin 'disappeared'. I believe the new website will have the necessary access permissions for the relevant people to update their sections, so hopefully Richard Szozanski will be able to populate and update the events section on the new website.

There's nothing in Impressions either beyond April ! ! !

Do you know the dates for the Coventry thing in May and for national as I'm trying to book time off from work.

Thanks Baz x x x

Doesn't really show the club in it's best light, especially when it's the 50th and all eyes are on us.

Maybe a couple of 'stickies' in the Events section of the forum would suffice until the website is sorted?

What do you think?

I don't know any fine details of the future events calendar. If someone creates a thread with the information then i'm happy to lock and sticky it.

Couldn't agree more.
Having this page featured and associated with the club has had a negative effect, I know this for a fact.
It would be better if that particular page was deleted altogether rather than promote a whole load of nothing to say.
Trouble with featuring it in this section of the forum will mean denying non members seeing it.
Potential members need to see that the club has these events on, especially in this 50th year.
An events page reasonably updated is something the website desperately needs if it is to help add new members.

The Events page has now been updated with the main Imp 50 events.
The calendar has events for March and April for now.

Only just seen this thread. You are presumably referring to the Jan issue of Impressions. As it clearly says in the intro to the Show and Go events, events are normally only listed for the following FOUR MONTHS. Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr is indeed 4 months. If I was to list events any further ahead than that it would a) lead to too much repetition each month and, b), not leave enough space in the mag for other items. In most instances, four months notice of an event is entirely adequate. Unlike the website, space in the mag is limited.

fair point
is it worth puting in the intro to the list in the mag that a full events list is on the web site ?

Last time I looked it seemed to have fewer events listed than in the mag!

The website is having a makeover very soon so the update only includes April & May events.
When the new version goes live it will have a comprehensive list of events on it.

That's what I suspected, thanks for the clarification.
