£5 grand....bargain! :o

Trouble is though, when it's that cheap, it lets the rif-raf in and my wife would feel uncomfortable sharing the same hotel.

Makes the 4 day Sun Run I do very resonable, works out to about £800 each all in. Not top luxury hotels, but lets be honest, at the end of a good day's driving from 8am to 6pm, all you want is a meal, a few beers and sleep.

That is £800 each for ferrys, petrol, tolls, event entrance, hotels, coffees and food from South London to Monty carlo and back to South London. The £4990 is just for the enry and hotels, add on that tolls, petrol, etc etc

How about this one to Rome £349 each for crew of 2

Amy's (daughter) partner did this last year and looking to do it again this year, superb fun by all accounts.

Mind you Amy and Karen took the Micra and went through most of europe unsupported at the same time
covering more miles. Oh for the spontaneity of youth. :)
