Post by simon hulse » Tue Jul 08, 2008 10:10 am

Does anyone wamt to attend this event? See "www.pageantofpower.com" , I have made enquiries about a club stand and we have been offered a 10 x 20m plot on the start straight and a 25% diccount on advance 2 day passes , That will be £30, I have to make the booking before the 18th July so I need to know how many definately want to go PDQ. Contact me or Bob Allen.

I have just received further info on this event, the cars and bikes will do a proper timed sprint and the power boats will race in heats of up to fifteen boats, plus demo runs by F! power boats and hydroplanes. I can get single day tickets for £20 and camping is £10. Usual family stuff including giant scalextric, go karts, shopping and bar. Accompanied kids under 16 free.

If it was closer I could be tempted. I think your main problem is that it's the weekend folllowing the national . Hope you get some folk anyway. It sounds great, like I said if I were closer....... :(

Cheers.

I am interested in coming to the show in my imp but am only able to make it on the sunday, would that still entitle me to a free ticket and i'm guessing that guests have to pay the full entry fee or do they get free entry with the car?

Motors TV were there filming should anyone be interested in watching the event.
They filmed the car clubs late in the day on Sunday with Neville Hay (I think) doing the voiceover, but were 'somewhat disappointed' to find many cars and clubs had left.
