WICKED WELSH FRIDAY RUN UPDATE

Post by philgsmith »

WICKED WELSH FRIDAY RUN UPDATE
Just to whet your appetites - we've just returned from trying out the options for this year's Friday run. Had a great time with our fellow South Wales Area Centre members driving along some good Imp roads.
As promised, by popular request, this year's theme will be "The Wicked Cider Trail" which will include visits to 2 cider farms with free tasting, followed by a visit to a farm which makes the best ice cream I've tasted in years.
Please see photos below - we felt that we had no choice but to try out the quality of some of the ciders on offer to make sure they were up to scratch. There were loads to choose from (many more than at Weston's and no limitations on the number you could try). It's a pity I was driving really but Philip enjoyed himself. My favourite was a rather nice sparkling cider which tastes like Prosecco. Happy days!!!
More details will follow closer to the date.

Just back from driving the WWW Saturday's run I've got planned.
There will be organised runs with route instructions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday and Sunday will be shorter afternoon runs and the Saturday will be an all day event.
Saturdays run is about 135 miles in total and I've tried to use roads that we haven't used on recent WWW's
It will take you from Pandy through the rolling hills of Herefordshire to the bleaker moors of Powys and back to Pandy
Here are some clues as to where we are going

I’m sorry but I have taken loads of pictures but to load them onto here I would need a day, it’s time we had an easier way of uploading pictures to the forum, I apologise in advance if I’m missing something and there is an easy way.
