COMPETE FOR FREE

Post by Colin Valentine » Thu Jan 10, 2008 2:07 pm

The January 2 edition of Motrsport News has a "Compete for Free" Offer.

Motorsport News has joined with BTRDA to offer a free drive on a minimum of 6 events during 2008.
So this is the chance for all you budding Boy Racers to have ago.

Rules are: must be over 18 with a Road Licence, but NOT previously help a Competition Licence.

I've scanned the article, so if you want a copy, email me on: colinjvalentine@gogglemail.com

Entries close 1st Feb

this for AutoSolo ing...? would ne nice to get some imps out! FDMC hosts one of the rounds.. (I set FTD on that! ;-)

having a comp licence does not stop you entering, but just makes you inelligible for the newcomer champsionship..

so yer all those with tweaked cars (or std!) shoudl get out on do some events

Like the one of 24th February linked from here http://www.bristolmc.org.uk/calendar.htm . Open to F&DMC members ;).

I'll be there, not sure if under Imp power or Porsche power yet though. I took the 986S out last year, that was fun, if not very fast

Will depend on a lot of things - budget, how much free time I have, possibly moving house etc. Lot on my plate atm, I'm on the clerking team at a new event at Combe at the end of March (longest sprint in the British Sprint Championship at 3.3 miles ) as well as my other committees (Llandow, June Combe, Wiscombe, ASWMC council meetings etc) and both the Chamois and the Davrian need a lot of stuff doing to them for the coming season.

So who can tell - I'd like to do a few more solos and best chance is to go elsewhere as somehow or other I rarely get to compete in my own club's events ....

Going back to Colin's original topic - you don't need a car as this competition is for an arrive and drive deal, the car being a 1300 Nissan Micra.
They are offering a minimum of six fully funded drives in BTRDA events - two car trials, two autotests and two autosolos.
A good deal for some lucky person...

Apologies to all. Finger problem when writing email address.
Probably need new glasses too.
Try again for a copy of the offer to:

colinjvalentine@googlemail.com

Pretty sure I got it right this time.
Offer closes 1st Feb, so still time to make an entry.
