Well thanks to my good friend Colin Roony the engine and box removed and re fitted twice in the last couple of weeks (just don't ask ! :? ) and it's all running again now with the correct gear ratios ! The fuel pump has also been moved up front next to fuel cell (where it should have been from the start ?) and will employ major weight saving measures over the winter and hopefully a full disc brake set up to help with the stopping as I think there is a fair amount of time to be gained there on the circuit .
Can't wait till seasons opener ! Jim Imp14

Sadly my car / equipment is currently for sale ! See my ad , due to major financial issues ! But I won't be giving it away , even though the for sale price is MANY thousands less than the cost to build it !!

Tested my car around the curborough sprint circuit on thurs and it felt like trying to drive a F1 car around a kart track !!! And it was wet ! but my car was really behaving it's self and from what I can see gears and gearing are now spot on and pulls like a train towards the red line in 1st 2nd and 3rd as I ran out of road ! :D

Sorry to hear that Jim. You put a lot of time into that car.

I am sure you can't shake the Imp bug.

Bevan or Hartwell next time ;)

That's a shame Jim. Did it go to a club member?
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

In that case congrats - another great car. Are you looking for a Car Transporter or planning to use a low loader  to bring them all along to the shows.
