Imp weights - partial

Post by SuperSport » Sat Aug 12, 2017 2:49 pm

This may seem a little random, but I am trying this here first as corner weights may be more known.

I am looking to find out (in the absence of my own Imp, what the down force of a road spec'd Imp would be on the front end only.

I am planning to build a 'tow unit' for the want of a better term, for a road legal (as in insured, taxed etc complying with road regs for towing) whereby the front wheels would be on a dolly like trailer - as opposed to an A frame, and would like to know how muscular the suspension units would have to be to cope within their working range.

With a kerb weight of around 720 kg, would a dolly trailer rated at 500 kg for a front lift tow be suitable ?

Corner weights front, approximately 130 kg each side.
You may find this helpful despite not being 100% scientific  . viewtopic.php?f=8&t=29114&p=277881#p277881
