ARDS Test

Postby skamanfrank » Thu Mar 23, 2017 10:59 am

Hi all,

Has anyone completed and ARDS test recently and/or have any recommendations on where to go? They are all fairly similarly priced (with the exception of Silverstone which seems to be dearer) and I imagine the content of the test is similar everywhere, but perhaps you have some recommendations based on quality of instructors or such?

Regards
Frank Claydon

Frank,

Fortunately I didn't have to do an ARDS test. My daughter did and she took hers at Mallory Park and was more than satisfied. However I believe that the operators have changed there. At the time she took her test it was a very simple affair and mainly concentrated on safety and common sense. Trying to prove that you are the next Lewis Hamilton is almost guaranteed to result in a fail. Look on it as an appreciation of you rather than an actual test. I believe Silverstone may be higher priced as they probably give you extra time in the car. My advice is to go with the nearest to you and save some money, you'll need it later!

Thanks for the replies all.
Pete- Mallory Park is closest to me, so it may well be where I end up going. I believe the operators are "The Motorsports School", with prices being inline with most other tracks (around £300).

Best get my medical booked!
