Fraser 'B' Cam Timing

What is the consensus as to the best timing for a Fraser 'B'. The standard timing is I think 153 thou (+/- 2 thou) Inlet valve opening at TDC which would be pretty close to an R22 @ 155 thou but I remember Ian Carter told me that an R22 works best at 162 thou so I am wondering is that or something close better for a 'B' - any suggestions? Valve clearance I presume should still be 8/9 thou In and 13 thou Ex is that right? Thanks. John

Set Fraser 'B' at 162 as for R22. This figure was recommended to me by Ian Carter and I've used it successfully for both cam types. Out of interest on Ian's advice I had R22 cams reprofiled to Fraser 'B' by Reece Cams when they were still in business at Huntingdon.

Many thanks to you both for your help. It's good to be no longer guessing.
