Future of Historic Stage Rallies?

Postby Rod » Tue Aug 18, 2015 10:37 am

With the new MSA regulations which mean that older, weaker, slower Cat 1 cars have to follow the bulletproof modern cars and Escorts on stage rallies will we ever see Imps on historic stage events again?

Looking more and more unlikely  I've seen how modern rally cars rip up the stages, even my 4 x 4 has to pick its way through the deep ruts left behind :o
Such a shame the MSA should change the regs, they obviously don't want historic cars to go rallying

The reasons they give don't make much sense, anyone who has marshalled/spectated on stages will tell you that. They want to be seen to be doing something following the stupid actions in Scotland last year. Trouble is they clearly don't have a clue.
