Oil Filter for comps

Post by oldspa » Wed Jun 17, 2015 11:28 pm

Servicing my 998 club racer. Pulled the filter which is a Fram CH2807 (supposedly a high performance jobbie). Since this car was raced these seem to have become hard to get. I have rung a couple of suppiers but they can't suggest an alternative. I do have a standard Unipart GFE110 but that looks much weaker than the Fram - flimsy cardboard body as opposed to aluminum on the Fram. Being as this thing revs to nearly 9k I want something fairly substantial any suggestions :?: Imp003 :?: Imp003

Many thanks,

Keith

Hi,

It's probably best to convert to a spin-on filter and use a Volvo 340 oil filter. Superb quality and flow. I'll find out the part number and post again.
